hellohead

Really enjoyed getting involved in hellohead earlier this year. Illustrators from across the UK have been paired up to draw one another, with an auction at the end to raise money for the National Autistic Society. See my portrait of Simon Tozer, and Simon Tozer's portrait of me on the hellohead site

How's My Grilling?

Coming to a festival near you this summer: the Blas Burgerworks Street van! The St Ives-based burger restaurant, revered for its organic ingredients, locally-sourced produce, sustainable credentials (and most-importantly tasty burgers) is going on the road this summer. They asked me to put together a design for the 'Blasmobile', which was unveiled last weekend at the Golowan Festival, Penzance, and the Quay Fair day. The design was very kindly artworked onto the van by the good people at Signs Express, Exeter. All this thinking about Blas Burgers is making me hungry. Cornish Blue Cheeseburger please. I wonder if they'll deliver to Brighton...(picks up phone)...
In their own words: 3.5 tonnes of burger love coming your way! Follow Marie, Sally, Lisa and the team's antics here, here and here ! Phew!

Phoenix Magazine

Here's an illustration I did for Phoenix Magazine this month, about eccentric British characters...in their underwear. You had to be there...

You Little Scamp

Some scamps I did for a project pitch for someone. Unfortunately not going anywhere but hey-ho - I've got Christmas dinners to be cooking.

Ka-Blam!

Recently created some illustrations for Catch 22 Magazine - to accompany an article about obscure / exotic / different occupations young people go into nowadays. My fave things to draw were the wrestling masks and sound effects.

Yard Partners on "The Web"

Here's some illustrations I did for Yard Partners, accompanying a piece on the website as a concept - regarding traffic, SEO, and making a website work for you.

Farewell...

Dom's leaving card (sob sob). We will miss him. But he was really militant about the tea-making - not that I adhered to his strict regime, despite the threats. Props to the copywriters.

Do not collect £200

Here's a shot of my 'live illustration' at the Glug / D&AD Student Awards party, based on the theme of students setting off and getting out there. I'd like to say that most of it was done by young children helping me but I just can't lie to you – it is all my handiwork. Hit the jump for some more dodgy pics. Thanks to Gemma and John at Studio Output, and Rosie at Agency Rush, and Helen for the drinks runs!

Glug Glug Glug

I'm doing some live illustration at a Glug / D&AD Student Awards after-party this coming Tuesday. Picture from the D&AD site. More info here, and you can buy tickets via the Meetup page here. You might see some pictures on here ... depending on how it turns out. Watch this space...

For Sale: Spot The Tiger

My illustration for Spot The Tiger is now available to buy as a print online here. Maybe it'd look good on your wall? You can see it alongside the other artists' pieces - 52 illustrations in all - each accompanying a new topic and question posed every week. Check them all out, and the results, including my entry from back in March here.

UPDATE: Their site seems to be doing funny things right now but you can still buy the prints here.

Antlers not included

Another soup plate - completing the set of six. Come round for dinner - just don't break the crockery. So I'm a bit worried - lots of monochrome going on at the moment - not too colourful of recent.

What do you mean they can't...

More Brent-esque motivation - this one saying in a roundabout sort of way that the impossible is possible (Adidas and Ali may have done it better). This is an actual quote from one of the partners. Hit the jump to see some more terrible shots...

Spot The Tiger

Here's a peek at a topical piece I did for Spot The Tiger - "should the government be allowed to monitor all forms of communication?" It is up today. Have your say on the site.

Dazed Decade Drawn Out

Found a spare minute to enter Dazed & Confused's cover competition. I chose 2006's Yeah Yeah Yeahs cover to draw. Here's a peek - but see the full cover here.

It's A Wrap

Ran out of wrapping paper on Xmas eve - so had to do some making-do and getting by...
