Wedding Crashers

Following on from some other wedding invitations I've done (for Tom & Alex and Avenue Litho) here are some wedding invitations I designed for some good friends of mine. Despite this - they still let me attend, and even be...an usher. I shirked most of my responsibilities you'll be pleased to hear.

The invitations were printed by the nice people at Stampa Brighton. Here's the table plans I designed too, in a suitcase!

Mabboo Summer Pop Up Shop

Following on from the Christmas pop up shop, Mabboo have a new pop up store in The Galleries, Bristol. Another chance to see my Mabboo painting if you're about, and check out the Gromit outside.

For the record...

Here's a gift I made recently on someone's behalf to give to a friend. The personalised full-size record sleeve is full of references to their friendship, childhood memories, and plenty of in-jokes! It looks like a dream sequence from Lost to me...

I did another illustration to accompany a fiction piece in the Sunday Express S Magazine at the weekend.

Notting Hill Amber

Went out in the Big Smoke the other week and happened to come across some bottles of Moncada's Notting Hill Amber for sale. I worked on the design and illustration of the West London-based brewery's bottle labels, identity & website, as part of my role at Yardpartners, so was good to see it out in the real world! Needless to say we had a few.

One's Direction

I've been creating some illustrations for director Carl Prechezer's blog. He's the director & co-writer of cult classic surf film Blue Juice, starring Sean 'son of the third doctor' Pertwee, Catherine Zeta Jones (said in a Welsh accent - obviously) and the young Obi Wan Kenobi. Carl also directs a lot of commercials and promotional films. Check out Carl P's words of wisdom here on his blog.

Online Publication: Matter

I recently created some illustrations for online cultural publication Matter, to accompany an article about opportunist cyber-scammers. Matter post insightful articles about... lots of different things really, but what they all have in common is that they're worthy of the nominal charge. Certainly for when the Mail Online just won't cut it on your lunchbreak. You can read a preview, and see one of my illustrations, here...

Here's some technical illustrations of a range of mattresses I drew recently. I also annotated them all in Polish (well...that someone else supplied). Having worked in a bed shop over a decade ago I can still spot a Continental Queen from a mile off.

ECO Pop Up Shop

Just got some leaflets back from the printers for the ECO Pop Up Shop in Bristol, showcasing Aymo and Mabboo products. Be sure to give them a visit. Printed on 100% recycled paper. Obviously. Like a boss.

Mabboo Mural

Here is the live art I created at the ECO Pop Up Shop at the weekend. The ECO team had a fun Saturday night launch party and needed some art for their walls. The shop is located on the top floor of The Galleries shopping centre, Bristol, and features Mabboo Bamboo T-shirts and products, and Aymo shoes and satchels. The mural features some Chinese, a  lucky cat, some bamboo, clouds, a sunburst, hot air balloons, the Clifton suspension bridge, and the SS Great Britain. If you're in Bristol go take a look!
